WHAT MORE IS LEFT?

If I decide wrong this can change the trajectory of my life completely….
How can I open my mouth to say, “Man life is freaking hard”, without people thinking I am complaining?
How did I become this person I barely recognize, stuck between a rock and a hard place?
I mean am I settling by staying with this person, or could my real soulmate be out there?
Is this career really fulfilling me or am I just sticking around for the paycheck?
Many of us are afraid to ask the hard question because of what others will think. We are constantly over thinking, reevaluating our decision and trying to overcompensate for the poor decisions we have made. It is like we feel this need to prove something to those who doubted us, those who once saw us in a low place and those who mishandled us. We are like grown children seeking a gold star for a job well done. One of the saddest places to be in as an individual is a place where you feel the need to show yourself approved to another human being who holds absolutely no value in who God called you to be. Who you are is already enough! But let me get back to the topic before I go on a tangent ….
I mean what more is left to your life…
You fell off anyways right?
You should have had more money saved up. You graduated from a University only to be stuck in debt, in a job that you cannot wait to leave. You had the boo, you both “planned” but they left. You are in the marriage you always wanted only to be with a partner you never asked for. You ended up pregnant before actually fulfilling some substantial goals in your life, so now you are trying to make ends meet. Oh yess and of course you have parents who remind you constantly that had you done it their way you would have been further along…. just to name a few!!
We put so much pressure on ourselves and being on social media does not make it easy.  It does not matter how strong you are or how much money you do have, life does not warn you when hard times will come.
But we thank God for Jesus…
The idea of doing anything to fall off is such a man made way of thinking. God uses everything you encounter to fulfill a purpose through your life. You cannot prove anything to God that he already does not know about you. Who you are in this present moment is not everything you will ever be. Yes maybe if you allowed the Spirit of God to lead you rather than your flesh you would not be in this place you find yourself BUT God can restore anything. He can bring about change that will cause you to change your perspective in life completely. Stop waiting for someone to cheer you on or confirm the greatness inside of you.
How do I know there is more to your life? I will tell you what God says:
“For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.
“For the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.”Psalm 94:14.
“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9.
And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
These are a few but if you would like to read more verses read here.
God’s words define you, not your struggles. There are things you encounter and that is what it is suppose to be an encounter NOT your identity.
Here are some tools to help you when you begin to question if you messed up the plan for your life.
1. Read and Meditate on the scripture (ask God to really help you accept the below scripture)
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call] Romans 11:29.
2. Pray
Sometimes we pray from a selfish place asking for what we want BUT pray God’s word (found by reading the Bible) over your life. You want to see God’s hand over your life, in your circumstances, hold God accountable to what he said he would do in His word.
3. Forgive
You have to forgive yourself of previous decisions you have made or currently find yourself doing. You have to love yourself enough to see yourself out of situations that held or is holding you back.
4. Act
Practice acts of consistency in your life. You cannot become all you are called to be doing the same unhealthy things and not renewing your mind. Be consistent at doing things to improve who you are.
5. Accountability
Get around people who are living a righteous life (not perfect or for the Gram), people who are able to be transparent about where they have been and where they are going. Those who have an abundant way of thinking without cheating their way through. Also, remember their life journey will not be the same as yours, so be careful of those who try to push their agenda on you.
6. Speak Life
Speak affirmations – Words that bring goodness and positivity to your life. Reciting “I am” statements daily in front of your bathroom mirror or from a flashcard at work can change the way you see yourself.
Example, “I am a good person. I am going to improve my life. I am living a life of purpose. I am not expected to be perfect”.
There is more left. God is not done with you Bro/Sis.

Cheers to LIVING ON PURPOSE!
